The Roads

Originally known as ‘Brickell Hammock,’ The Roads community was designed and developed by Mary Brickell in the early 1920s. She designed the neighborhood to be a pedestrian-friendly area with roundabouts, wide streets, and median parkways landscaped with native tropical plants, which is The Roads feel so Miami! The Roads is a very special place because of its very central location close to Downtown, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Key Biscayne, and Miracle Mile.

It is known for its old homes, historic private schools, and its tree-covered streets. It is an area that appeals to young families because of its accessibility, location, easy walking, and all-around great neighborhood feel with an urban feel but in the middle of it all! The Roads is a beautiful residential neighborhood in the City of Miami situated between Brickell, Downtown Miami’s financial district, and the bayfront village of Coconut Grove. Today The Roads is celebrated for its tree-lined streets, charming homes, and historic public schools.
