Coral Gables

Coral Gables is a well-known suburb of Miami with a population of about 49,000. It is considered to be one of the best cities in Miami-Dade county. Also known as “The City Beautiful,” Coral Gables is known worldwide for its streets lined with Florida oaks, and well preserved ivy-covered mansions and historical landmarks such as the world-famous Biltmore Hotel and the Venetian Pool, both built in the 1920s. Its founder was George Merrick, who had the vision to create what we now know as the beautiful city of Coral Gables. It is home to the famous and well-loved Venetian Pool from the 1920s, carved from a rock quarry, with its stone grottoes, towers, and bridge. The Gables, as many locals call it, is one of Miami’s most well-loved and desired neighborhoods.
